Portland Semantic Web Interest Group – Lucky Labrador Brew Pub Brian Panulla will present "Goodbye, Semantic HTML - Retraining Your Web Standards Brain" The Web Standards movement pushed us to banish non-semantic presentational markup from our HTML. As a result, we struggled over meaningless decisions - should I use a list or a table? NO TABLE BAD! It's time to rethink what we mean be semantics in our markup. The new W3C standard RDFa (RDF in Attributes) can make our lives as Web and technology professionals easier and more sensible, without angst over whether or not to use tables. |
